A side-by-side double-barrelled hunting shotgun, in grey damask with the inscription ‘Damas Rubans’ in silver on the ventilated band. Rear percussion hammers. Light walnut stock carved with the face of a bearded man at the grip. All iron fittings engraved. France. Mid-19th century (1840–1850). Very good condition; the shotgun has been cleaned and the fittings repolished. Expert: Mr Bertrand MALVAUX
