George and Edward PRIOR, London, between 1800 and 1810 An ‘onion-shaped’ pocket watch for the Ottoman market, made of silver (800 parts per thousand) and metal, with a triple case (shows signs of wear and has some missing parts) and a tortoiseshell effect. The white enamelled dial features Turkish numerals and is signed ‘Edward Prior London’. Cock-shaped movement, signed Geo Prior and numbered 32489 (key missing and does not work). Diameter: 63 mm. Condition: Fairly good. Gross weight: 130 g
