Silver (800 parts per thousand) and silver-plated ‘onion-shaped’ pocket watch with a double case, featuring chiselled floral and foliage decoration and adorned in the centre with a mythological scene in repoussé (missing). The white enamelled dial (cracked; one hand and the glass are missing; the bezel hinge is damaged) features painted Roman numerals. The lugs are made of metal. Cock-shaped movement signed Samson London (winding key missing). English work from the late 18th century. Diameter: 41 mm. Condition: Fairly good. Gross weight: 85.4 g
