LEPINE, Paris, c. 1780 Onion-shaped pocket watch in 18-carat (750 thousandths) rose and grey gold; the bezel is in silver (800 thousandths) set with hematite. The case is decorated with openwork foliage set with haematite (some missing). The white enamelled dial (chipped) features painted Roman numerals. The ornate hands are set with haematite.
