ROLEX Oyster Perpetual Chronometer watch case from the late 1940s and early 1950s, ref. 3696, with a round case in yellow gold-plated steel that has turned pink (scratched) and a screw-down steel case back (Rolex SA 31 Victoires high-precision and numbered). The silver dial (heavily oxidised) features a railway-track pattern, applied baton hour markers and skeletonised sword-shaped hands that were formerly luminescent. Signed crown. Rolex self-winding mechanical movement with ‘Butterfly’ rotor (not functioning). Diameter: 32 mm. Condition: Quite attractive
