Description
A watch from the 1940s, with a rectangular 18-carat yellow gold (750) case featuring a clipped caseback (French-style case), and the case middle adorned with stylised hammers. The gold dial (heavily oxidised) features painted Roman numerals and baton hour markers (faded) and a recessed small seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock. Replaced hands. Lizard strap (Varanus spp., CITES Appendix IIB) and gold-plated pin buckle, both fitted as aftermarket parts. Scratched crystal.
Hand-wound mechanical movement, ETA calibre 2512 (not working).
