Gabriel ARGY-ROUSSEAU (1885–1953) “Flowers of Persia” 1924 A substantial crystal paste vase decorated with a frieze of stylised flowers in red and violet-mauve on a grey background, with green, violet and pink powders. Signed “G.Argy-Rousseau” within the decoration and “France” beneath the base. H: 30.5 cm (a few firing defects) A “Fleurs de Perse” (“Persian Flowers”) crystal paste vase designed by Gabriel Argy-Rousseau in 1924, featuring a frieze of stylised flowers in red and purple-mauve on a grey background, with green, purple and pink powders.
