Tripod centrepiece in translucent smoked blown glass, comprising two bowls set within a structure consisting of four elements, held together by a metal rod. Hot-worked glass lozenges and drips applied around the necks and on the body. Floral decoration painted in opaque polychrome enamels.
Signed ‘A. Jean’ in red on the underside.

A translucent and smoked blown glass centrepiece made by Auguste Jean from around 1880, formed from two bowls fixed within a four-part structure, held together by a metal rod. Hot-worked glass lozenges and drips are applied around the necks and on the body. Opaque polychromatic enamelled decoration of flowers. Red enamelled ‘A. Jean’ signature on the underside of the base.
