A spectacular pair of finely chiselled and gilded bronze wall lights, each with three light arms. The tall base consists of a fluted shaft, topped by a large ribbon bow with long trailing trimmings. The three coiled light arms are adorned with acanthus leaves, rosettes and rows of pearls, and support lamp heads and lampshades decorated with foliage motifs. Garlands of pearls suspended between the volutes complete this composition. The lower section is embellished with foliage and a hanging passementerie motif. France. 19th century. Louis XVI style.
