Description
A pair of folding armchairs in an antique style, made of polished and patinated steel. The ‘gendarme’s hat’-style backrest is reclining, adorned with frieze-like decorations at the shoulders, and features straight armrests with cuffs. It rests on four cantilevered legs ending in lion’s paws and joined by crossbars embellished with turlupets. Upholstered in fabric with a leopard-skin pattern. Paris. 19th century.
