Description
A pair of console tables and large mirrors in the Neo-Pompeian style, made of carved wood, gilded, blackened and lacquered red. The upper section consists of a mercury mirror set within a moulded frame. It is adorned with spandrels and side brackets, decorated with palmettes. The base features an églomisé glass top with a large central rosette flanked by palmettes, set within a border of frieze and moulding. The stepped belt is highlighted at the front by a apron, adorned with volutes and a central cartouche. The rear pilaster-style uprights and the front tubular uprights, adorned with rings and acanthus scrolls, rest on moulded cross-members.
