Description
A substantial sofa with a slightly sloping backrest and wraparound armrests in mahogany and mahogany veneer, richly carved and partially gilded. The sides of the armrests feature extensive carved decoration comprising broad scrolls, palmettes and foliage motifs. The straight apron is emphasised by moulding. It rests at the front on two substantial carved legs, patinated to imitate bronze and finished with lion’s paws, and at the rear on sabre-shaped legs.
