An Italian sculptor active in the first half of the 20th century, Antonio Vanetti developed a figurative body of work in which a love of antiquity, movement and equestrian subjects played a significant role. Trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, from which he graduated in 1900, he went on to exhibit his sculptures at several national and international exhibitions, notably in Milan, Brussels, Paris and Ghent. His career also took him outside Europe, notably to Asia during the 1920s.
