Anonymous – The mosque at Schwetzingen Castle. Circa 1870. Pencil drawing, watercolour and gouache on tracing paper. 26 x 20.5 cm. Missing sections, a diagonal crease, small tears on the right-hand side, glued at the corners onto a sheet of paper. This curiosity is an Ottoman-style mosque built by the architect Nicolas de Pigage in the late 19th century, in the grounds of a castle in Baden-Württemberg, which can still be seen today.
