Charles Wittmann (1876–1953) after André Bressin (1876–1918) – Friant II, born at the Chambly stud farm, owned by Prince Murat, trained by Lynham and ridden by Sharpe. Circa 1930. Aquatint engraving on Van Gelder zonen paper. Plate: 51x60cm; Sheet: 57x76cm. In good condition. Bressin was a painter renowned for his depictions of horses, particularly those at horse races.
