Henri Rivière (1864–1951) – The Sea Foam. 1906. Printed by Verneau. Original lithograph on ivory-coloured glossy vellum. Monogrammed and signed on the plate in the bottom right-hand corner. Plate: 37.7 x 50 cm; Sheet: 50 x 66 cm. In perfect condition, with fresh colours. This is a plate from the ‘Au vent de Noroit’ series. Reference: Toudouze 98. Young sailors are fishing with lines on the rocks of the Brittany coast whilst the adults set sail on their yachts. It is worth noting that this is one of the few prints by Rivière featuring children.
