William Henry Jackson (1843–1942) – Yosemite Valley. 1898. Published by the Detroit Photographic Company. Photochrome on paper. 17 x 22.5 cm. Glued at the top corners to its original backing. Two slight creases at the tips of the bottom corners, a tiny tear at the tip of the top margin. This valley forms part of the Sierra Nevada mountain range in California. It is now at the heart of a US national park and is a major tourist attraction.
