William Henry Jackson (1843–1942) – Bright Angel Canyon from O’Neill’s Point, Grand Canyon, Arizona. 1902. Photochrome print on paper. 17.9 x 23 cm. Glued at the corners to its original backing. Two slight traces of original glue in the upper corners. O’Neill’s Butte, named after William Owen O’Neill, is a viewpoint that remains popular to this day. It offers a bird’s-eye view of Bright Angel Canyon, which is now one of the major hiking destinations in the United States’ national parks.
