A Grenoble-style chest of drawers, a ‘sauteuse d’entre-deux’ in light walnut, opening at the front with two drawers set within a curved front panel; rounded front sides on curved legs with disc-shaped bases; rear sides in plank form; scalloped crossbars; and a wooden top edged with a ‘bec de corbin’ moulding. Traces of a former label on the back of the first drawer. A model attributed to Jean-François Hache of Grenoble, circa 1775–1777. 18th century. Foliage-motif bronze fittings. H. 81 cm – W. 83 cm – D. 50 cm. Damage, restoration.
