Description
Hache, Grenoble. A chest of drawers in light walnut with blackened mouldings, featuring a crossbow-style front with three drawers and rounded front sides. It has a scalloped waistband and rests on curved front legs finished with medallions. Walnut top with winged corners and a recessed rear section. Attributed to Jean-François Hache of Grenoble 18th century. Bronze fittings featuring sea horses. H. 88 cm – W. 129 cm – D. 59 cm. Damage, restoration. A similar model appears in the book by Pierre and Françoise Rouge, *Le génie des Hache*, published by Faton, page 244.
