Produced for the exhibition "Paysage de France de l'impressionnisme à nos jours" presented at the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Rouen in 1958, this poster is illustrated with a lithograph by Jacques Villon entitled La ferme normande (1952), highlighting a modern vision of landscape, at the crossroads of cubism and a structured interpretation of nature. Villon, an important figure in the French avant-garde and a member of the Puteaux group, developed a graphic and pictorial oeuvre marked by rigorous composition and sensitivity to variations in light.
