Produced for an exhibition by Raoul Ubac at the Galerie Maeght, this poster highlights a visual language based on the decomposition of forms, superimpositions and effects of matter, characteristic of his work between photography and abstraction. An important figure in the post-war European avant-garde, Ubac played a central role in research linked to surrealism and then poetic abstraction. The Maeght edition bears witness to the importance of his work within the network of major artists published by the gallery in the 1960s and 1970s.
