André Minaux (1923-1986) - Mural Poetry, 1972. Original lithograph in colours on wove paper, 76 x 53 cm. Signed in pencil by the artist lower right and numbered 10/100 lower left. Condition A, perfect state of conservation. This work illustrates Minaux's masterful transition to a purified aesthetic, in which the strength of the black line structures compositions of great serenity. Through this theme, the artist explores the relationship between the figure and the flat space, using flat tones of muted colour and an economy of means that give the image a timeless, monumental dimension.
