Georges Braque (1882-1963) - The Round Table. Offset print on wove paper, 89 x 61.5 cm. Condition A, good state of conservation. This work is a high-quality reproduction of the famous 1929 painting of the same name, one of the masterpieces of the painter's mature period, now in the Phillips Collection in Washington. The composition illustrates the quintessence of synthetic Cubism, in which Braque breaks down everyday objects - a pedestal table, sheet music, a pipe and fruit - to reorganise them in a flat space of great architectural rigour.
