Produced for the collage exhibition by Alain Le Yaouanc from 5 April to 4 May 1980 at the Galerie Frédéric Gollong in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, this poster is part of the career of a protean artist whose practice includes painting, drawing, sculpture, collage, poetry and writing. Born in Alençon in 1940, Le Yaouanc quickly became part of the Surrealist movement through his collages and graphic works, meeting major figures in the milieu such as André Breton and exhibiting several times at the Maeght Foundation and Gallery from the late 1960s onwards. His original lithographs convey the spirit of his collages and his plastic research.
