Original lithographed poster created in 1978 to promote a major exhibition of the artist's work at the Rizzoli Gallery in New York (712 Fifth Avenue), which featured a selection of his iconic Art Deco creations. Born Romain de Tirtoff in St Petersburg and later settled in Paris, Erté is a major figure of the Art Deco movement in the XXᵉ century, known for his refined fashion designs, costumes, sets and illustrations.
