This poster is one of Mathias Prechtl's masterpieces. The image illustrates the opera Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg (The Mastersingers of Nuremberg), a famous work composed by Richard Wagner and premiered in 1868. Born on 26 April 1926 in Amberg, Germany, and died on 19 March 2003 in Nuremberg.
