A large stemmed glass, hand-blown in the style of a Medici vase, the lower section
carved with arcades, decorated with an engraved coat of arms of the Kingdom of the Netherlands beneath
a royal crown and set upon a military trophy; the reverse bears the inscription in Dutch
‘Het welvaren van onse / Hoogmoegende. Heren / Staten generaels’ (To the
prosperity of our / Most Powerful Lords / States General), a frieze of medallions along the
upper rim, the stem facetted on various rings. Good condition.
