Description
CHASSEPOL ?] – *La Promenade de Livry*. Lyon, Thomas Amaulry, 1678. 2 parts in one volume, in-12, (6) ff., 140, 144 pp., paper slightly yellowed, ivory vellum. DRUJON II, 814. LEVER 355. Dedicated to Madame Deshoulières. Escaped Gay’s notice despite the romantic themes addressed in the six short stories, some of which conceal real-life figures under disguised names. Privilege granted to Claude Barbin in April 1678, who ceded it to Thomas Amaulry. Attributed by Paul Lacroix in an entry in the Millot catalogue (1846) to Chassepol. The latter had published another work of fiction that same year with Barbin: *Histoire des Amazones*.
