MONTFLEURY, Antoine-Jacob – *The Works of Monsieur Mont-Fleury*, containing his plays performed by the King’s troupe of actors in Paris. The Hague, J. van den Kieboom, Gerard Bloch, Adrien van Dorsten, 1735. 2 vols. in-12, 2 frontispieces, (4) folios, 547 pp.; (1) folio, 484 pp., 12 illustrations (not included in the page count), bound in midnight blue morocco, ribbed spine, internal dentation. A new collected edition bringing together 12 plays by Antoine Jacob Montfleury (1639–1685), son of the actor and playwright Zacharie Jacob. Both were members of the Hôtel de Bourgogne theatre company and, being hostile to Molière, attempted to ridicule him in their plays.
