Paris, Nicolas and Jean de La Coste, 1648. In-8, (8) folios including the frontispiece, 382 pp.; (1) folio, 270 pp., (20) folios, 16 engraved illustrations in the text, commentaries with a separate title page, paper slightly yellowed, foxing; brown calf in the original binding, double gold thread on the covers, decorated ribbed spine. LEVER 77. Translation by Jean de Montlyard first published in 1602. The full-page illustrations are those from the 1623 edition, six of which were engraved by Crispin de Passe and ten by Isaac Briot.
