Second collective edition, expanded following the 1694 edition of the plays of Boursault (1638–1701), containing nine plays, each with a separate title page dated 1720 or 1721: *Germanicus*, *Marie Stuard*, *The Untitled Comedy*, *Phaëton*, *Meleagre*, *Aesop in the City*, *Aesop at Court*, *The Jealous Prisoner*, *The Satire of the Satyrs*. Seven have a frontispiece. They are preceded by: ‘Letter from a theologian, distinguished by his standing and merit, consulted by the author to ascertain whether comedy may be permitted, or must be absolutely forbidden’ (by Father Francesco Caffaro, a Theatine priest favourable to the theatre).
