An important council held at Fontainebleau in April 1619, attended by the Constable of Luynes, the Prince of Condé, the Dukes of Guise and Mayenne, etc., at which it was decided to wage war against the Reformed, a conflict which did not end until October 1622. - [LUYNES] - Apology or Response to the Chronicle of the Favourites.
