[PEACE OF SAINTE-MENEHOULD] – Resolution on peace and in the service of the King. Paris, Jouxte la Copie, printed by Jean Laquehay, (1614). In-12, 14 pp., a few corners repaired, red half-leather in Bradel style. Concerning the Peace of Sainte-Menehould between the princes and the King’s representatives, signed on 15 May 1614. The author examines the motivations of the rebellious princes and urges both sides towards reconciliation. The treaty was to be followed by the opening of the Estates-General. (Enclosed:) [EPERNON, Duke of] – Extract from the Court registers, concerning the events in the case of Monsieur d’Espernon. No place, 1614? In-12, Bradel-style half-leather binding. 8 pp., yellowed paper. The extract is dated 29 November 1614 and includes a statement by the Duke of Epernon concerning the events in the Faubourg-Saint-Germain.
