In-12, (4) folios, 153 (1) pages, (2) folios, yellowed paper, brown grained calfskin, double gilt thread on the covers, ribbed spine decorated with grotesque motifs. TCH V, 992. ‘Second edition, the first in this format. It is very rare and is cited only by Brunet.’ Contains, as in the first edition (1658): 25 letters, the ‘Histoire d’Alcidalis et de Zelide’, Costar’s letter to Pinchesne concerning Alcidalis, and a fragment of the ‘Eloge du duc d’Olivarès’.
