GERMAN LETTERS – German letters translated into French. The Hague, by the Company, undated (c. 1750). , (2) folios, 228 pp., a few foxing spots and yellowed folios, marbled fawn calf as per the title page, plain spine decorated with grotesque motifs.
GAY II, 809. ‘Erotic work; rare.’ Not listed in Jones or Martin-Mylne-Frautschi, although it is an epistolary account of the amorous adventures of the Baron of Oxford, recounted to the Count of ***. The twelve letters are followed by *The Amorous Adventures of Father Arcenne* (pp. 142–228). Handwritten ex-libris by Carbon de Prévinquières.
