DONNEAU DE VISÉ, Jean] – *Les Intrigues de la Lotterie*, a comedy. Paris: Estienne Loyson, 1670. Small 12mo, (5) folios, 71 pp., fawn half-calf, plain spine decorated with gold thread. (BELLEVALLÉE). First edition. The play premiered at the Théâtre du Marais on 17 August 1670. The future founder of *Le Mercure Galant* used it to satirise his contemporaries’ enthusiasm for lotteries—often unofficial ones—which lent themselves to all manner of fraud.
