Description
LE LOYER, Pierre – *La Néphélococugie, or The Cloud of Cuckoos*: a comedy without distinction between acts or scenes, and interwoven, in the style of Aristophanes, with strophes, antistrophes, odes, epodes, etc., preceded by a biographical and bibliographical note by Mr G. B. (Gustave Brunet). Turin, Gay et Fils, 1869. In-12, XII, 171 pp., half Bradel green cloth with corners, smooth spine with faded decoration, cover repaired, gilt head. Printed in a total run of 100 numbered copies; this one on Dutch laid paper. A reprint of a text which appears to have first appeared in Paris in 1579 in the *Oeuvres de Le Loyer*, despite a separate title page dated 1578.
