N.p., 1732. 2 parts in one vol. in-12, 74 pp., (1) fol., 41 pp., (1) fol.; (1) fol., 82 pp., 12 fig., paper slightly yellowed, brown grained calf in the style of the time, decorated ribbed spine. ‘The Abridged Explanation of the Principal Questions’ has a separate title page dated 1731. Twelve figures, not including the title page, engraved in intaglio by Nicolas Godonnesche, Keeper of Medals in the King’s Cabinet. These earned him a spell in the Bastille and the loss of his post.
