Description
A pair of ceremonial clogs for a man
Made of carved, single-piece walnut. Formerly stained and varnished. On each clog, the upper features an openwork design of a woven rose-branch basket from which emerges a rose with stems and leaves, complemented by the initials ‘PE’. The edge of the opening is adorned with a festoon. Each clog bears a label on the insole: ‘Manufacturer of clogs and galoshes of all kinds // E. PREVOST // CHAUNAY (Vienne)’.
