Description
Clog-maker’s work Carved and engraved wood. The sculpture consists of small clogs in the round, with curved toes, placed on the outside of an arch, which is adorned with stylised foliage. Each clog is adorned with a carved leaf on either side. The whole is set upon two opposing clogs joined together, their toes forming a coil. Moulded wooden plinth, bearing the same foliage decoration as on the body. Late 19th century – Early 20th century H. 52.5 cm Pits and losses.
