Description
Two brandy bottles One model is made of clear enamelled glass and pewter; the other is blown and moulded. The first model, rectangular in cross-section, is adorned with a peasant woman holding a spindle in her hand. The other sides are decorated with flowers on leafy stems. Zigzag friezes in the corners and a leafy wreath on the shoulder. The second flask, oval in cross-section, is decorated with a horse-drawn cart pulling a load of hay, with the farmer at the front holding a whip in his hand. A festoon frieze and a decorative wreath complete the design. Central Switzerland, 19th century H. 11.4 and 17.5 cm Stopper missing on one example
