Sewing box Made of wood, glass, textiles, engravings and feathers. Rectangular in shape, the box opens via a simple flap covered with a padded cushion. The front and back panels are adorned with cut-outs, some glazed, the borders of which are decorated with zigzag friezes. It bears the monogram ‘M’ on one side and ‘R’ on the other, embellished with palm leaves, stars, etc. It fastens with a small swivel hook. Inside the lid, the mark ‘S.GESANO’ is stamped five times.
