Description
Blacksmith’s chest
Made of iron, steel and brass. Rectangular in shape, it has a single-flap lid, featuring a spindle-shaped handle with an openwork twisted design, and rests on four legs. On the front, a cut-out metal appliqué takes the form of an anvil, with one hammer lying flat and another standing upright, placed to one side of it. Three fluted domes complete the design, two of which allow the lid to be opened by pivoting the motif, revealing a keyhole. Beneath the lid, two runners were designed to hold a mirror (now missing). Comes with its key.
