Set of two snuff boxes One is made of wood and the other of pressed birch, with metal hinges. Rectangular in shape, the first is decorated with a humorous, animated scene featuring a woman riding a donkey that refuses to move forward, whilst being both pushed and pulled by two men. The sides are decorated with large holly leaves and smaller ivy leaves. The lid is a recessed, overhanging design. The lid of the second snuffbox is decorated with a scene of a man and a woman dancing, with the woman lifting her skirt, whilst a dog stands on its hind legs.
