Pipe case
Made of mahogany and cut brass. The top consists of a lid with a latch (which closes), the surface of which is decorated with an engraved flower, complemented by two leafy stems set against a background of half-dots on both opening sections. The rim of the lid is adorned with two long bands bearing inscriptions in Dutch: ‘Al mot bip min soldies te se mem drinken en glas mein (?)’, accompanied by the date ‘1749’ engraved near the hinge. The spout is decorated with mouldings embellished with rings.
