Description
Rennet pot known as a ‘tusset det coou’ Made of weathered, carved wood. A single-piece body, narrowed at the top and with bevelled sides. It features a handle with a small ring through which a thin cord can be threaded to hang the pestle. A beechwood lid completes the set. Ariège, late 19th century H. 30 cm The pestle is missing, as is a peg, and there are some pinholes. The lid has certainly been replaced and the base shows signs of woodworm damage.
