BURGUN SCHVERER (Lorraine Art Glassworks)
Circa 1895–1900
A double-coloured glass bowl with a satin-finish green body and an interlayered inclusion of burgundy-coloured oxide spirals. Decorated with branches of cherry blossoms in a pinkish-white hue, with brown stems and green leaves, painted with enamels in between the layers, etched in cameo style and finely finished on the wheel, lightly polished and with gilded highlights.
Gold signature beneath the base: ‘Verrerie d’Art de Lorraine B. S & C°’ and the inscription ‘déposé’ with the Cross of Lorraine and a thistle.

A green-tinted double-layered glass cup by Burgun Schverer (Verrerie d’Art de Lorraine) circa 1895–1900, with maroon powders in the interlayer and an enamelled design of flowering cherry tree branches, acid-etched and wheel-ground on a partially hammered background. Gold "Verrerie d’Art de Lorraine B. S & C°" and marked "déposé" with the Cross of Lorraine and a thistle, beneath the base.
