BURGUN SCHVERER (Lorraine Art Glassworks) "Landscape and Ruins" A vase made of thick, slightly bluish glass with green interlayers in the lower section and pale yellow towards the middle of the vase. Decorated with a wooded landscape surrounding the ruins of a castle, etched in cameo style, then painted and highlighted with black enamel. Signature engraved on the underside, painted in brown: “Verrerie d’Art de Lorraine”, “B.S & C° déposé” with the Cross of Lorraine and a thistle. H: 31.5 cm A “Paysage et ruines” (“Landscape and ruins”) thick blue-tinted glass vase by Burgun Schverer, with green and yellow interlayer powders and an etched and greyish-enamelled design depicting a wooded landscape surrounding castle ruins.
