"Water Lilies"
Piece commissioned by Focke & Meltzer (Amsterdam).
A trumpet-shaped vase on a round foot, made of double-coloured glass in yellow-green and bluish-green, with a design of flowering water lilies engraved in reserve and finished on the wheel.
Signature engraved beneath the base with a diamond point: “DAFC ☨ pr. Focke & Meltzer”.

A “Nymphéas” (“Water Lilies”) double-layered green-yellow and blue-tinted glass vase made by Désiré Christian for Focke & Meltzer (Amsterdam), with an etched and wheel-outlined decoration of water lilies. Signed under the base “DAFC ☨ pr. Focke & Meltzer”.
